BRANDON FOREST HALF MARATHON
(Run under ARC Rules, Permit Number - 10/122)
The Brandon Forest Half Marathon is an off-road event run on forest tracks
which are not suitable for spikes. The course is two laps of an hourglassshaped
route. The first water station is at mile 4 and then every 2 miles
thereafter. There is good spectating area near the main water station, 500m
from the car park. It is set in the beautiful surroundings of Thetford
Forest, near Brandon, Suffolk.
The race start will be clearly marked and is located on the B1106, Brandon
to Elveden road. There are prizes in age categories and a memento will be
given to all finishers. Please come prepared as there are no changing or
toilet facilities. If required, a short drive will take you to: - changing rooms,
toilets, showers and bar at Brandon Leisure Centre. Full directions to both
the start and the Brandon Leisure Centre will be posted here on the website, or enclosed with your SAE.
There will be a limit of 300 runners taking part, and last years event was
sold out three weeks before the event. There will not be any entries on the
day, so please enter as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment. Entries
will be updated regularly on our website.
If possible, please try to enter direct from our web site, this is our
