About The Fern Hoppers

Fern LogoWe are a friendly, social running club consisting of members of varying ability and ages.

As we enjoy the luxury of the Thetford Forest right on our doorstep, most of our club runs are off-road and on peaceful forest trails.

Our members have an unrivalled knowledge of the forest around Brandon which they love to share with new members, but you will never be left to run alone until you are confident to do so.

As a well established running club we offer the benefits to our members of being affiliated to both British Athletics and The Association of Running Clubs.

We aim to provide a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for a diverse ‘family’ of runners of all abilities and backgrounds.

If you are a beginner, or an experienced runner looking to improve, why not come along and give us a try, our members have a wealth of experience, from fun runs to marathons, which they are happy to share!

If you would like more information regarding our club runs and training sessions please follow the ‘About’ link for details of our meeting times, or for anything else regarding the Brandon Fernhoppers please contact us here.

We are proud of our close connection to Brandon Country Park parkrun, with the club having been instrumental in it’s establishment, as well as offering ongoing financial support as it has grown. You will find many of our members at parkrun each week and it can be a good way to meet us before coming along to one of our club runs. We hope to see you there!
